This laboratory building is located on the axis of the Academic Forum on the new Northern Campus at Ben Gurion University of the Negev.
This building consists of two building masses connected by a bridge structure that includes the offices of the researchers and scientists. The inner courtyard created between the two masses includes a landscaped area and a flat surface to be used for experiments by the robotics laboratories on the ground floor. The above-mentioned masses contain different types of laboratories (dry and wet) and clean rooms, while the southern building mass is two stories higher and contains the remote sensing laboratory which requires height.
In addition to the robotics laboratories, the ground floor also includes a small auditorium for conferences and commercial space facing the academic forum. The basement contains advanced quantum and microscopy laboratories connected to an underground service channel.
The building envelopes are very diverse and include exposed concrete, architectural concrete and vertical aluminum shading systems for the western and eastern facades. The glass of the windows and curtain walls are selective LOW-E type with excellent physical coefficients.
