The scope of the project included a master plan of the whole compound, the building, its pedestrian connections to Begin road, Azrieli Center and the Hashalom railway station, and the Interior Design of all its spaces as well.
The building presence defines the eastern pedestrian point of entry to the "Kirya" from Begin Road and above the road to Azrieli center and all the way to the railway station (all bridges were designed by MYS as well).
It accommodates all senior staff bureaus, general offices and common areas such as conference rooms, dining halls, a gym, etc.
Conceptually and programmatically the built mass is divided into two wings; one for the Ministry of Defense and the second for the IDF Headquarters.
The resulting separation accentuates its uses while sharing a common circulation system; vertically and horizontally.
The roof is crowned with a heliport which together with the extroverted vertical circulation system defines an expressive vertical central spine for both wings.
