Located near a Muslim cemetery and the Hatulot Square, the design for the competition of the Museum of Tolerance will arouse the cultural aspects of this already vibrant part of Jerusalem.
The competition for the museum was an opportunity to instigate a dialogue between religion and nationality. This open-mindedness was expressed in the design by use of transparency to expose the elements of the museum and to integrate the movement of the public within, without and through the museum.
The museum’s landscaped entrance will be a focal point for activity and a vibrant addition to the city.
