The Katamon City complex is located in the heart of the Katamon neighborhood in Jerusalem, near Teddy Stadium, Malha Mall, and major sports and public transportation hubs. The project represents a significant urban renewal initiative, combining residential, commercial, and public spaces.
The plan envisions a new urban district featuring four residential towers: two of them 40 stories high and the other at 20 stories, all positioned above commercial floors, with open public spaces and community facilities such as kindergartens, daycare centers, and synagogues.
The development emphasizes accessibility, parking, and safety measures features currently absent from the site, which is occupied by buildings from the 1960s. The project aims to serve the local population as well as visitors to the stadium and sports complexes, ensuring seamless integration with the existing urban fabric and adjacent transportation corridors. A major design challenge involved incorporating a three-story commercial center that connects the various street levels, addressing the site’s complex topography. The façades will combine Jerusalem stone and glass, incorporating innovative solutions and advanced technologies as part of a sustainable, green building approach.
The architectural vision aspires to create a vibrant, mixed-use district that will lead Jerusalem’s urban renewal process and redefine the Katamon neighborhood with a modern, accessible, and active identity.
