Located at the northeastern corner of Jaffa, on Tel Aviv's southern end, this large-scale government project is the new headquarters of the Israeli Police, finally uniting many of the police functions that were spread out across Tel Aviv's other precincts.
Because of the station’s location and use, the design team wanted the building to reflect authority and order, but at the same time it was important to relate to the area through use of the neighborhood sandstone and public colonnade. The interior design was planned to provide the police with maximum flexibility to expand or contract units according to the population’s needs.
An important addition to the urban renewal of this Jaffa neighborhood, this is a deserving new home for the Central Police Station.
