This project is a prototype for 10 local hospitals spread throughout Ghana that will become the medical backbone of this West African nation.
Each hospital will be able to include 60 to 150 beds and the following departments: trauma, imaging, hospitalization, outpatient clinics and surgery. The one-level hospital buildings eliminate the need for elevators and enable an extremely user-friendly design that will keep all departments close to one another. The hospitals will be made of industrial elements with quick construction and optimal use of the local workforce.
The prototype's design will allow each individual hospital to incorporate changes over time, according to its own needs.
