Gertrudes project consists of two buildings, one office and the other residential, and is located at the heart of Riga, Latvia. It is surrounded by several elongated 9-storey buildings.
Both buildings are 7 storeys high and encircle a glass-covered inner yard. The residential building has been designed to ideally allow natural light for a spacious feeling and consists of 126 different-sized apartments, ranging from studios to penthouses.
The project’s design consists of an outer shell that surrounds the glass-clad body from three directions, thus providing a contemporary interpretation to the Eastern European “block”, allowing the project as a whole to blend into the surrounding urban flow while maintaining an independent appearance.
