Located in the heart of Ashdod, Assuta Public Hospital will be the city's first hospital, catering to the residents of the south of Israel and providing them with top-notch health care facilities that they require.
The hospital is made up of a system of adjacent rectangles which include the main building and the private clinics that are connected by a large foyer and a series of bridges. The design follows the stacking concept in which each segment serves a unique function for the hospital, while forming an interesting composition as a whole. The yellowish stone cladding brings to mind the sandy dunes of the area.
The hospital is confined by two main streets to the north and south, and is part of a larger health care complex planned to be built to Assuta’s south, thus completing this much needed addition to the area.
